Spring is springing!

We are finally getting some nice weather here in the UP!  About time!  We open in 3 weeks and there is still so much to do to get ready!  We have our workamper staff in place.  We have some new picnic tables to put together and 2 new dryers for our laundry room.  We are also going to be doing a site upgrade (electrical, water, and sewer) to some of our sites although they will probably not be completely done until this fall.  And, we are welcoming a couple of old friends to stay with us this summer and build us our first cabin!  We are also welcoming some seasonal campers to our campground and we are looking to expand in that market as well.   Now I just hope that we have a nice summer, weather wise and that gas prices don't continue to rise! 

WORKAMPERS WANTED!!

One of our workampers couples is unable to make it for the summer of 2011 due to health reasons so we are now looking for another couple to add to our wonderful and friendly team!  We are looking for one outgoing and friendly couple to work from May - mid September doing office work and registration, cleaning bathrooms, escorting campers to sites, general light outdoor maintenance, etc.   These duties are all shared by all our workers here.  You will get a free full hook up site in exchange for 24 hours of work (per couple) per week.  You will work the same days, usually in 4 hour shifts, and have the same days off.  We furnish all supplies needed, even t-shirts for workdays!  Just bring you camper, a good attitude and a smile!  Give us a call if you are interested at 906-774-7701 or email us your resume/pictures to sbreeze@charter.net.

Hot and Muggy

July is here and it has been hot and muggy out! The dry, crunchy, brown grass has turned green again with all the rain we've been getting. The pool is getting good use with this weather! The ice cream socials are off to a smashing start and our new tshirts are avialable in the store. There is apple cider soap and Earth Momma soap (a patchouli blend) on the curing racks.

Opening for 2010 season on April 9!

The spring has blessed us with great weather! I'm talking 60-70 degree days here! The snow is gone, the grass is green, the birds are back and even the tree frogs are out! Now all we need are some campers so come on out! I will not be keeping regular office/store hours until May 1 but you are welcome to come in and we will get you checked in! Bathrooms and laundry room will be up and running!
