Workampers needed for 2009
When: Arrive sometime in May and depart mid-late September.
Where: Iron Mountain, MI. 100 miles north of Green Bay, WI, in the south central Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Lots of things to see and do and places to explore during your time off.
What do I get?: For a 50 amp full hook up spot we ask for 24 hours/week per couple (generally 3 days each of 4 hour shifts). If you only need a 30 amp full hook up site, we ask for 20 hours per week per couple. You will work the same days and have the same days off. We give you off every other weekend and we can honor special requests if you would like to take a week off. We can be flexible.
What do I have to do?: We need someone who is proficient in the office, doing computer registration, taking reservations, and working the cash register, as well as being friendly and able to work well with the public. We also can use people to work in the park doing grounds maintainance, parking campers, etc. We all take turns doing bathrooms and we usually schedule each couple to do the bathrooms 2 days per week and you clean them as a couple. Our bathrooms get a lot of compliments and are highly rated by Trailer Life. We take pride in maintaining clean bathrooms which also makes it very nice for us to clean them.
If you are interested or have any questions, please send your resume to sbreeze@charter.net or you can fax it to us at 906-774-3813. We also take resumes by mail: Summer Breeze Campground, W8576 Twin Falls Rd, Iron Mountain, MI 49801

Summer is finally here!
We had a great 4th of July with a really great group of campers. I think everyone had a blast. The ice cream social was packed to the hilt! The new cornhole and ring toss games have been a big hit! And the weather is finally getting warm enough to help keep the pool warm.
Not that you want to think about fall already, but please mark your calendars and tell all your friends to come join us September 12-14 for our 1st Fall/Halloween Festival. There will be costume contests, games, site decorating, hayrides etc! We're still in the planning phase but it's a definate go, so come out and join us!

2008 is here!
WHAT'S IN STORE FOR 2008?
Well, our ice cream socials on Saturday nights were such a big success that we will again continue to do that from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
We are in the beginning stages of planning a "Fall Halloween Festival" which will tentatively be scheduled for the weekend of September 13.
We have workampers coming to help us out again this year, including Lou and Lee Nickerson - who were here working on the building last summer and did a fantastic job - and Howard and Julie Farrell - who are U.P. natives, and of course the family will be here helping out as well.
We have some other ideas in mind to try to implement for the year but I don't want to get ahead of myself in case we are not able to materialize them.
Our winter project has been working on doing some "fixin' up" of the main building which has included some new windows and siding and also moving the registration area. This has kept us busy since last August actually and we are still working on it! Gosh I hope it's done by opening day on May 1!!!
We hope that you have had a good winter and stayed cozy and we hope to see you this coming summer!
